FilmBar and the Virginia G Piper Center for Creative Writing at ASU proudly present Motionpoems Season 8: Dear Mr. President, a collection of short films based on poems exploring politics, social justice issues and more on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at FilmBar (815 N 2nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85004) at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $5. A short community talk-back will follow the event.

The Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing has teamed up with the Open Air Market at the Phoenix Public Market to present a morning of literary activities, presentations, and programs on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Phoenix Public Market (14 E Pierce St, Phoenix, AZ 85004).

In addition to talks, panels, and presentations, there will also be book exchanges, writing groups, and giveaways.
