About Qui Qarre

Qui Qarre a.k.a juju a.k.a Qui Qamande was born on 3rd July, 1997. She is a professional kenyan poet and performing spoken word artiste. She performs poetry in English, Swahili and Sheng. She is based in Nairobi, Kenya. Her talent has enabled her to perform in various places which include Nairobi, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Zanzibar and many others.

Qui Qamande participated in The Women of Africa poetry Slam in 2016 Where she was crowned Queen. She has also participated in Women of the World poetry Slam 2017 in Texas and was ranked 29 out of 96 poets from across the globe. Her works are based on her own personal life experiences and themes of social concern.

She is the Founder of “Tears of The Pen Poetry” a movement based in Nairobi,
where she coaches poets and mentors young girls in poetry.
