About Maria Woodson

Maria Woodson is a poet and songwriter from Sacramento, CA. She earned her BA in English and double-minor in Philosophy and Western Intellectual Tradition from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, during which time her song, "Daffodils‚" was the grand prize winner of Ecologistics‚ Protest Songwriting Contest. Maria was also a finalist for the NPR Kroc Fellowship in 2018, and is currently teaching and studying poetry as an MFA candidate at Arizona State University.
