About Austin Davis

Austin Davis is a poet and student activist currently studying Creative Writing at ASU. His writing has been widely published in dozens of literary journals and magazines including Pif Magazine, After the Pause, Philosophical Idiot, Soft Cartel, and Collective Unrest. Austin has also been featured in KJZZ‚ "Word‚" podcast, The East Valley Tribune, Voyage Phoenix Magazine, and the Arizona Commission on the Arts. Austin's first two books, Cloudy Days, Still Nights and Second Civil War were both published by Moran Press in 2018. He is also the author of The World Isn't The Size of Our Neighborhood Anymore (Weasel Press, 2020) and Celestial Night Light (Ghost City Press, 2020). Austin likes drinking hot cups of Irish Breakfast tea, taking long walks at night when the world is still and quiet, and spending time with the people he loves.

Meet Austin Davis 's Mentor

Steven Abell

Steve Abell graduated in 2017 from the University of Montana in Missoula with a degree in English and is a third-year candidate in the MFA Creative Writing Program at ASU. He wrote a novel in 2004 and has been writing lyric and narrative poems steadily since 2006. Steve’s influences include comedy, punk rock, and very sad movies.
