Gary Bowers has been an award-winning artist since his student days at the University of Arizona more than 40 years ago. He has also been juried into the Glendale Arts Council's annual Juried Show in every decade since the 70s. He was part of Sedona's Village Gallery artists' cooperative from December 2012 through November 2014, shortly before his return to Phoenix. He is also a performing poet who often illustrates his poetry, which is often acrostic and often a portrait. Gary can draw anyone.
