About this Event

The Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing is partnering with local radio station and NPR affiliate KJZZ on their Holiday StoryFest & Author's Showcase, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Glendale Civic Center (5750 W Glenn Dr, Glendale, AZ 85301) from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The event features storytellers, readings and talks from local authors, and activities for children. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with local authors and the Soundbite mobile recording studio. More information about talks and readings will be announced soon.

Tickets are $10 general admission and $5 for KJZZ/K-BACH members. Children 12 and under may be admitted for free. 100% of all proceeds benefit Sun Sounds, a non-profit organization providing audio access to information for people with disabilities.

Table space is also available for local authors. Full tables are $80; half tables are $40. Authors should have an active platform and have had work published within the past 24 months. For more information on table space, visit KJZZ's website or submit an application for space

Storyfest is produced in partnership with South Mountain Community College's Storytelling Institute, the Arizona Storytellers Project, and the Arizona Republic.
