About this Event

Join the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing for our second-annual ASU Undergraduate Writers Showcase, Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Piper Writers House (450 E Tyler Mall, Tempe, AZ 85281) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.! At this event, a number of undergraduate writers will be celebrating their work with their community. Work will be chosen by outside judges, and a final lineup will be made available by November 1st.

While encouraged, RSVPs are purely for the purposes of monitoring attendance, gauging interest, and communicating information about parking, directions, and other aspects of the event. This event is open to the public and free.

If you're an undergraduate student interested in reading your work at the showcase, read the information below.

Submitting Your Work

The showcase is a wonderful opportunity for students to meet other writers, get involved with their community, gain professional experience, and share their work. Undergraduate students from all backgrounds, disciplines and campuses are encouraged to submit; students do not need to have taken creative writing classes or be creative writing majors to submit.

Students should submit up to 3 poems or under 3000 words of prose. Submissions will be read and selected by a panel of independent community judges. To submit your work, you can complete a submission form.

The deadline for submissions is October 19, 2017.
