About the Class

Are you prepared to pitch? Ready to write that rousing query? If you’ve reached ‘the end’ but need to know how to get your work to shine in the eyes of an agent or publisher, this workshop is right for you. The instructor, who has experience both as an author who has pitched and as the acquiring editor for Agora Books will also discuss how to find the right agent for you, deliver the perfect pitch, including logline and engaging synopsis, as well as how to write the attention-grabbing query. This workshop is interactive, so students should come with a pitch to hone (and possibly deliver) in-class, so that we can eliminate the anxiety first-time pitching. Give your work every opportunity to succeed and stand out from the crowd, and join us!
