What is the language of your body? What are the ways the language distances or connects you to your body? How do we write challenging physical experiences creatively and lyrically? This session will explore the ways in which language can shape our experiences of our bodies and our health outcomes. This session speaks to inclusivity and exploration, and will address how writers can write ethically, truthfully, and lyrically about their own and other’s bodies. This will be a space for writers to engage and think critically about how we write about the human body in health, disease, ability, and disability.
