Getting into town early for the conference? Already live here? Looking for something literary to do before sessions begin? Kick-off this year’s Desert Nights, Rising Stars Writers Conference with an off-site social and writing groups on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Changing Hands Phoenix (300 W Camelback Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013)! In addition to browsing the shelves of one of Phoenix’s favorite independent bookstores or enjoying a glass of wine or beer from First Draft, guests will also have the opportunity to exchange feedback on their written work with fellow attendees
If you’d like to receive feedback on your work, please bring at least five hard copies of one poem or excerpt of prose under 1500 words. Writers of all genres, experience levels, and backgrounds are welcome to attend. You do not need to bring work to participate in a group.
