Dan Barton is a poet, essayist, and displaced southerner, born and raised in Atlanta, GA but embracing life in the Midwest. With an MFA in creative writing from Texas State University, he currently teaches writing while working toward his PhD at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His work can be found in journals such as Grist, Permafrost, The Bitter Oleander, and Isthmus, among others.
