Christy Lorio is a writer and photographer based in New Orleans, LA. Her writing has been featured in 433 Magazine, Barren Magazine and Oxford American. In addition to her creative nonfiction, Christy has worked as a freelance writer for several local publications including The Times-Picayune and for Ocshner Healthcare System. She holds two BAs in English and Film & Theatre and an MFA in Creative Writing from The University of New Orleans. She is pursuing an MFA in Studio Art for photography from UNO and is currently exploring the ways in which her writing and photography practices intersect.
