About Charles Malone
Charles Malone has been the Program & Outreach Manager at the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State since 2017. Our programs have engage the voices of immigrants and refugees, incarcerated youth, individuals struggling with addition and mental health. We have put creative writing to work to address social and environmental justice in our communities with programs like Writing Across Borders, River Stanzas (Reflections on the 50th Anniversary of the last fire on the Cuyahoga River), Armed With Our Voices (an interactive exhibit, encouraging visitors to explore the history of student protest and the timely themes of peace and conflict transformation 50 years after the Kent State Shootings), Poets for Science, and more. He edited the collection A Poetic Inventory of Rocky Mountain National Park with Wolverine Farm Publishing. His chapbook Questions About Circulation is out with Driftwood Press as part of the Adrift Chapbook Series and his full-length collection Working Hypothesis is forthcoming with Finishing Line Press.
