About this Event

Presented in partnership with ASU Open Door as a public extension of the Desert Nights, Rising Stars Writers Conference, the Desert Nights, Rising Stars Literary Fair presents over 20 talks, readings, panels, and other literary performances from authors, publishers, and other organizations from all over the Southwest.

Beyond performances of poetry, memoir, novels, and other forms of literature, performers will speak to border issues, incarceration, indigenous writing, bilingualism, military service, the Holocaust, book arts, self-publishing, submitting to journals, and more.

The fair takes places on the Farnsworth Terrace and Front Lawn of Old Main on ASU Tempe (400 E Tyler Mall, Tempe, AZ 82581) on Friday and Saturday, February 22 & 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Friday, programs will take place in the Piper Writers House (450 E Tyler Mall, Tempe, AZ 85281). On Saturday, programs will take place on the Farnsworth Terrace behind Old Main. On both days, exhibitors will be set up on the front lawn of Old Main. 

All events and activities are open to the public and free. You do not need to register for the conference in order to attend.
