About Virgil Renzulli

Virgil Renzulli is the author of Caliburn: Merlin's TaleGods in the Mist and the forthcoming Hero, Legend, Myth.  A professor of practice, strategic communications, at ASU's Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications, he served as vice president of public affairs at ASU from 2002-2014. His responsibilities in that position included overseeing the university’s media and public relations offices, community, city and state relations, ASU Gammage and ASU’s PBS station KAET-TV. 

Renzulli came to Arizona in July 2002 from New York, where he was associate vice president for public affairs at Columbia University, and he held similar positions at New York University and the University of Pennsylvania.  A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in political science, he also studied marketing at the Wharton School, creative writing at New York University and scriptwriting at Temple University.
