About the Class

You’ve spent weeks, months, even years submitting your manuscript, only to have it rejected time and time again. So, what’s the trick to getting noticed? In this class, we’ll use tried and true tools to help improve your chances of receiving acceptance by examining first lines, ending images, and striking language by some of today’s most imaginative writers. We’ll be doing a little bit of reading, a little bit of writing, and a little bit of sharing. Whether you’re a poet or prose writer, this course is designed to help you hook readers and hold their attention. All genres are welcome.
